Return Target - is an estimate of the yearly rate of return, net of fees and taxes, that exceeds growth in the CPI over a ten year period. The estimate is calculated based on a member with a $50,000 balance throughout the year in the personal division, i.e. not a member of an employer group.
CPI - the Consumer Price Index is an inflationary indicator measuring the change in the cost of a fixed basket of products and services, as reported by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Return - is the return of a member, net of fees, who has a $50,000 balance in their account throughout the year and does not incur any activity fees. The calculation is based on a member in the personal division, i.e. not a member of an employer group. As the return is net of fees the return may be lower than the published investment option earnings rates
Statement of fees and other costs - is an estimate of the total direct and indirect fees and costs for a member with a $50,000 balance in their account throughout the year. The calculation is based on a member in the personal division, i.e. not a member of an employer group. It does not reflect all fees and costs that may apply, for example insurance fees are not included.
Indirect costs - Indirect costs include amounts that directly or indirectly reduce the investment return on your member account. The estimate included in the statement of fees and costs above allows for the indirect costs of Fund managers and allocations to the Plan's Operational Risk Financial Requirement Reserve. We note the plan does not make payments directly to Fund managers, their costs are deducted before investment returns are credited to the Plan.
Investment or other decisions relating to your account in the Plan should be made having regard to the Plan's Product Disclosure Statement
